Since 2008, Zaagman Home Remodeling has been working with customers throughout the West Michigan area. Custom kitchens and bathroom remodels are most requested, however, our portfolio includes a variety of requests.
ABOUT Ken Zaagman
Hi, my name is Ken Zaagman. I am the Owner and Remodeling Contractor behind Zaagman Home Remodeling. I began my career as a builder years ago, or at least my parents would say so. I remember spending countless hours crafting small cities out of cardboard, making large model train sets that took over our family living room and building a variety of tree forts, to name a few things.
My professional building career began my senior year of high school. I purchased my first foreclosed home and spent the majority of that year after school, remodeling it. I currently rent that home, and it is located in Cutlerville, MI. Also during my senior year of high school, I attended Kent Career and Technical Center for their building program.
I apprenticed under Chuck Deter, of Deter Home Remodeling, formerly out of Alto, MI for two years and started my own business in 2008. I enjoy taking on new projects, learning new things, and meeting new people. I specialize in kitchen, bathroom remodels, installing new floors, new doors and windows.
My experience gained from providing maintenance for my family's many rental properties has greatly increased my skill set to accommodate almost all home repairs one could think of. If your project involves electrical, plumbing, painting or any other service, I have several trusted individuals that I can subcontract work out to.
When I am not working, you will often find me at home with my wife, Nicole and Shih Tzu, Hadley. We love to play hockey together, ride bikes, laugh and spend time with family. I hope to be of service to you in the future, and I look forward to the opportunity to learn more about your project.
ABOUT Nicole Zaagman
Hello, my name is Nicole Zaagman. I am the Marketing & Design Director for Zaagman Home Remodeling. I began my career as a designer many years ago, spending hours drawing my favorite Disney characters and of course, horses. Deciding my dream of being a veterinarian was not an option (too many years of school) and my plan B of joining the United States Army ultimately wasn't where I felt led, I pursued my bachelors in art and design from Spring Arbor University and graduated in 2009.
I've held a wide array of positions ranging from the Christian non-profit world and award-winning digital agencies to owning my own business. Writing and publishing two books has been another opportunity to use my writing and creative skills. As Ken's business continued to grow, it made sense for me to come along side him in this capacity. I focus my energy behind the scenes doing design work (of course) project management, invoicing, social media marketing, writing, paperwork and running errands for Ken and helping clients select items. We look forward making your remodeling dream come to life.
